Meet Dr. Maggie
Throughout her undergraduate studies, she went above and beyond with her potential career opportunities. After shadowing a number of other providers such as MDs, PTs, ATCs and Chiropractors; Maggie decided that the career of a Chiropractor gave her the freedom to work how she wanted to while also empowering those she works with. It was at this time that Maggie found her passion and calling at Northwestern Health Sciences University. While attending, she did extended training in Sports Chiropractic and worked with professional as well as everyday athletes with a full year of working in the Human Performance Center. The HPC (as it's known) is where she was able to work not only in the clinic, but on sidelines and in athletic training rooms with these athletes of a variety of disciplines. Through this experience, she was able to learn how to give power back to the patients by giving them the tools to help get themselves out of an injury through exercises and rehab programming in combination with the treatment rendered.
Dr. Maggie's biggest goal is to keep you moving while getting through an injury. She treats using a few different modalities including instrument assisted soft tissue, muscle release techniques, cupping, chiropractic adjustments and, most importantly, rehab exercises tailored to your needs to get you back to your activities that you want to be doing.
Because of these goals and tailored approached, Dr. Maggie is not in network with any insurance companies. Insurance companies don't allow for adequate time or treatment techniques to accomplish these goals, which allows her to use whatever modality, rehab approach or technique available or warranted to get you moving and feeling the way you deserve.
That being said, most HSA and FSA plans can be utilized for payment. Additionally, most people find their insurance plan still reimburses them for their payment up to a certain percentage.
Maggie grew up in Minnesota and like most local kids, spent her winters on the ice rink and her summers on the lake. As a young athlete, Maggie played hockey her whole life as well as through undergrad at University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. It was here that she her love for distance running after running the Eau Claire Half Marathon and obtained a degree in Biology and minor in Human Health Sciences that took her down the healthcare route.
Maggie is not only the COOLEST (self-acclaimed) chiropractor at Minnesota Movement, but she also coaches at Orangetheory Fitness Minnetonka, as well. In her free time she enjoys distance running, yoga, going on walks with her dog and husband, and spending time on Lake Minnetonka; waterskiing, wake surfing or skating depending on the time of year.
